What is the Dance Diversity Tour?

Founded by Renee Johnson, the director of Beyond Dance Co. of Philadelphia, PA the Dance Diversity Tour is a dance experience that goes across the United States in several cities. In each city on the tour, different dance companies and individuals of various genres of dance, backgrounds and ethnicities, will come together for one night to perform and expose the audience as well as their performance peers to an array of diversity within the dance world. This is done in hopes to make spectators aware of dance genres they may be unfamiliar with, appreciating all forms of dance, as well as striking an interest to further explore the art
of dance and all it has to offer.

Will Dance Companies From the Various Cities Have the Opportunity to Meet?

Yes! In October of 2016, the Dance Diversity Experience 2016 will be held in Philadelphia, PA. There will
be selected companies and individuals who will be chosen from each showcase to come and perform in
Philadelphia. The experience will consist of a performance, workshops throughout the weekend and
meet and greet brunch which will serve as a networking portion of the weekend. Anyone can attend the
experience weekend.
